Web Page Design: From Planning to Posting
Advanced Techniques

Frames:

Web browsers usually display a single Web page. It is possible to have a browser display more than one Web page at a time. You do this by creating a special kind of frame layout document that is divided into rectangular sections called frames. To see an example of a frames page, go to: http://faculty.berea.edu/pearcej/MAT101/

Image Maps:

You can divide an image into multiple parts and link the parts (called hotspots) to different pages in your Web site. When you create an image map, you link different parts of the image to separate destinations. To see an example of an image map, go to:

Forms / Online Databases:

You can let your users interact with your web pages through the creation of forms. You can also allow users to search and/or add to a database through their browser.
